This scientific project is dedicated to reconstructing animal and human body parts in 3D by slicing them up and photographing each piece. The specialty of this shooting is that the frozen pieces are wet and are too shiny, so we developed a special technology in-house to deal with this issue – an essentially peerless solution in the world. 3D reconstruction and virtual anatomy is the future both in human and animal-related studies. The slices are cut to 0.05 mm thickness and the photos of each slice are stitched together in post-production to generate high-resolution 3D models from these images.
