In 2015, Vienna’s most famous boulevard, the “Ringstrasse” had its 150-year anniversary. To celebrate, the Vienna Tourist Board created commissioned its own high-quality gigapixel streetview called “Ringview” to showcase the most interesting facts and the beauty of the classic architectural styles. The buildings of the Vienna RingView shape Vienna’s cityscape as part of one of the most attractive capitals in Europe. The photos were shot at gigapixel quality using an eight-metre high pole and a panoramic robot arm to give a unique perspective in many locations – such as the Museum of Art History, the Ringturm, Urania, the Vienna State Opera, Hofburg, the University of Vienna, and Parliament.
